Enception
On the last day of the 2005-2006 school year a mom came into my office crying uncontrollably. She explained to me that her children had been taken away earlier that morning due to "unsafe living conditions". I asked what it would take to get them back. She said she had seventy-two hours to clean up the home or they would be placed in permanent foster care. Without thought I said, "Let's clean it up." And that's what we did. It took us the entire seventy-two hours. I was able to be there when CPS (Child Protective Services) brought the children home. That moment will never leave my heart. Before the case worker left I asked, "Just how many women are faced with these circumstances?" She sighed and said, " We can't keep our thumbs on this problem." At that very instant I knew what my purpose in live was.
During the summer of 06' I founded a non-profit organization that assists parents who's children have been taken due to unsafe living conditions. The assistance we give is free of charge. We are able to make this assistance FREE due largely in part to private donations, grants, and community involvement.
If you would like to become a donor or volunteer, please call (765) 450-4274. We are always in need of both financial and time driven support. In the coming months we will be looking for mentors, If you would like to become a mentor to a struggling mother we desperately need your help.
